A screen saver won't keep it on the screen at all times, but wallpaper will (unless an application covers it). Do a web search for calendar wall paper. You will find many choices there. I've never used any of these, so I can't recommend one. But you could try a few and see which you like.
Change a calendar’s name or color on Mac. A calendar is identified by its name and color, which you can change at any time. Changing a calendar’s color changes the color of all of its events. If you want an event to have a different color, either change the color of the whole calendar or move the event to a calendar with a different color. After the recent Lion update, the color issue is resolved by right clicking on the desired exchange calendar, and selecting Get Info. A color combo box is now available. Prior to the update, only iCloud or local Calendars would allow color change in Lion.
