I'm pulling my hair out trying to decipher why every time I do a fresh install of mysql on OSX and import a database, the minute I restart the mysql instance I'm prompted with the message: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES). I've kept the password to defaulted root, and this is quit frustrating. I've tried my hardest to ensure no other instances of mysql are running. The Activity monitor reports no other instances of mysql, and when searching for pids no other instances appear. Does anyone know what is happening? This error could occur in the following cases:. Using an incorrect password.
Since you mentioned that you have defaulted the password to root, check if you have the CAPS lock on. It could occur if you have an incorrect password specified in an option file. Try logging in using: mysqladmin -no-defaults -u root -p pass. You might have to grant access to root. Stop MySQL: /etc/init.d/mysql stop. Start MYSQL skippping grants: /usr/sbin/mysqld -skip-grant-tables -skip-networking &. Login: mysql -u root.
I am working in Symfony application on my Mac and I continue getting this message: An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) I have tried it without password, with password, I have tried it in this mysql -u root, in this manner mysql -u root -p.
Flush privileges: FLUSH PRIVILEGES;. Update Password: SET PASSWORD FOR root@'localhost' = PASSWORD('password'); UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('newpwd') WHERE User='root'.
Hello Sagar, I love all the posts, I really enjoyed. I would like more information about this, because it is very nice., Thanks for sharing.
I wrote about Kerberos support in MuleSoft, so it seems only natural to discuss the other place where Kerberos fits into the API ecosystem. Not only can Kerberos be used to secure APIs hosted or proxied by MuleSoft, but certain third-party systems can use or even require By the way do you have any YouTube videos, would love to watch it. I would like to connect you on LinkedIn, great to have experts like you in my connection (In case, if you don’t have any issues). Please keep providing such valuable information. Merci Beaucoup, Abhiram. Hi Mate, Gasping at your brilliance!
Thanks a tonne for sharing all that content. Can’t stop reading. Software is losing its magic. We simply demand too much from the current approaches. As a result, software developers are losing the battle with complexity, often without realizing it. More often than not, little failures pile on top of other little failures, and life for the consumer, as well as the business, becomes more frustrating rather than easier. I started using blog for my training practice.
Excellent tutorials - very easy to understand with all the details. I hope you will continue to provide more such tutorials. Obrigado, Morgan. JMeter is a powerful tool for API testing.
Let's say you are are writing test cases for one of your RESTful service; and you want to extract and validate the value returned as part of response header. It is little bit tricky to extract the value from in, but it is possible. For example, your RESTful service returns 'ETag' in response header. Those who are involved in API or web service development should be knowing about, it is one of the most popular tools to build API requests and test them. Is one of the feature of. You can create one or more requests and group them in Collection, and as name suggests, you can run the entire collection i.e. Series or requests.
What if you need to add 'Think Time' or 'Delay' or 'Pause' between two requests? It is surely possible, here are some options: Using Collection Runner GUIThis option will be applicable to all the requests in the collectionIn the Collection Runner window, enter value for Delay in milliseconds Using Command LineThis option will be applicable to all the requests in the collectionNewman is a comman line collection runner for PostmanCommand To Execute: newman run -delay-request number Click to get the details about NewmanNewman installation instructions are available. As we all know, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is an open, vendor-neutral, industry standard application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol (IP) network.
A common use of LDAP is to provide a central place to store usernames and passwords. This allows many different applications and services to connect to the LDAP server to validate users. This has a major benefit that allows a central place to update and change user passwords. With, we can access and maintain directory information services over an IP network by connecting to any LDAP server. LDAP Connector is developed by MuleSoft's developer community and it is categorized as Community Connectors.
Latest LDAP Connector documentation is available. Unfortunately, the information and examples of this connector are limited and scattered all over the web. Today, I am trying to cover as many details as possible, of. Recently, I thought of upgrading various softwares on my MAC OS including Java, and all other softwares.
So, I downloaded new version of Anypoint Studio on my MAC OS. After installing AnypointStudio, when I opened it for the first time, I immediately encountered an issue.
Guess what, the very first screen - Workspace Launcher was frozen. I was not able to type-in workspace location, I was not able to click on browse button, I was not able to click on cancel or ok button. What a bummer!! After some trial and errors, I finally found the solution to fix the problem.
I am not sure why, but looks like Anypoint Studio does not work with Java 9. As part of upgrade process, I had upgraded the Java version from 7 to 9. Either you will have to uninstall Java 9 and go back to Java 7 (I did not test this with Java 8) or you can follow below steps to make it work. Install Java 7 in addition to Java 9 on MAC OS. Get the Java 7 location, we will need this location. Decompilers are one of the most important tool for developers. Many Java developers use and many developers use (just another flavour of Eclipse) for their development work.
We can easy configure for these IDEs. Here are the simple steps (for both IDEs): Download update site archive from.Unzip the archive and note the location/pathOpen Eclipse or MuleSoft Anypoint Studio Click on 'Help'Select 'Install New Software.' Click on 'Add.' ButtonOn the pop-up, type name as 'Java Decompiler' (or any other name)Click on 'Local.' ButtonSelect the unzip location (Step 2)Click 'OK' button to close the pop-upSelect checkbox: Java Decompiler Eclipse Plug-inClick on 'Next'Select 'Yes' for the agreementSelect 'Finish'Restart Eclipse or MuleSoft Anypoint Studio Now, Eclipse or MuleSoft Anypoint Studio can decompile Java.class files if sources are not avail. Have you ever faced an error while launching?
I faced this error recently on my MAC OS. Problem: I was using Apache Directory Studio for past few months without any issues, but yesterday all of a sudden I was getting below error while I was attempting to launch Apache Directory Studio application on my MAC. Note that I am using Apache Directory Studio version 2.0.0.v20130628 I open the log file to check the error message, it was so confusing. Error message was something like this: Root Cause: I recently installed latest Java version i.e.
On my MAC and I encountered this issue due to the Java version upgrade. The error message in the log file is bit misleading. Solution: To resolve this issue, you can follow below mentioned steps: Click and refer my other post to install multiple versions of Java on your MAC OS.Make sure you install Java 7 on your MAC OS.Execute this command to get the Java 7 location: /usr/libexec/javahome -v 1.7Now open Finder. While working on a Application project, if you a planning to validate payload against some, and more importantly if you want to pass schema location dynamically, then this post will be benificial for you. Mule provides JSON Schema Validator as out of the box feature. From, evaluates JSON payloads at runtime and verifies that they match a referenced JSON schema.
You can match against schemas that exist in a local file or in an external URI. If the validation fails, an exception is raised with feedback about what went wrong and a reference to the original invalid payload. Above code works but here is the catch, in my scenario, the schema location was dynamic.
Let's say the schema location is present in the database. Once the schema location value is retrieved from database, it is stored in a flow variable. For simplicity, I am creating a flow variable with hard-coded value. In actual application, the flow variable value will be the value ret.

You must be looking for some easy options to pretty format data. Well, there are many websites which provides this capability and you can pretty format JSON data in browser. I use text editor, and I was trying to see if I can pretty format JSON within the text editor itself. You can follow these simple steps: Open Sublime Text 3 text editorIf you are using MAC OSPress Command + Shift + PThen select 'Install Package'Search for 'Pretty JSON'Install If you are using Windows OSPress CTRL + Shift + PThen select 'Install Package'Search for 'Pretty JSON'Install Once the installation is complete, select JSON stringIf you are using MAC OSPress Command + Control + JIf you are using Windows OSPress CTRL + ALT + J Thats it! Now you don't have to copy your JSON string from Sublime Text 3, paste in your browser, format it, then copy formatted JSON from browser and paste it back in your Sublime Text 3.
Now you can pretty format your JSO. Many developers and organizations use as code repository.
Similarly, many prefer to commit code in GitHub repositories using various commands. I personally think that using any kind of user interface for committing code and performing various GIT operations is much more simpler and productive. Is one such Atlassian product. SourceTree is a free Git client and provides beautiful GUI that offers a visual representation for various Git repositories. For added security, you can enable 2FA (i.e. 2 Factor Authentication) for your GitHub account. Configuring GitHub with SourceTree is very very simple.
Here are the steps on MAC OS (steps on Windows OS are similar): If you have not enabled 2FA:Open SourceTree and go to PreferencesSelect AccountsClick on Add button to add accountOn the pop-up window, select Host as 'GitHub'Select Auth Type as 'Basic'Type your GitHub username (not email)Type your passwordSelect Protocol as HTTPSClick SaveYou can now clone GitH. Did you just realize that your Application requires horizontal? Well, thats easy - just go to select your application and change the 'Workers' count from 1 to either 2, 3 or 4. If numbers are grayed out, then you might have to adjust the 'Worker Size', or purchase additional capacity from MuleSoft.
So, what is the issue then? At the time of the blog post, based on Mule documentation, if you are using only 1 worker and if you want to apply then you can simply navigate to 'Static IPs' section in Runtime Manager and allocate the static IP address. The issue is when you want to apply Static IP addresses for more than 1 workers for various reasons including IP whitelisting. Based on Mule documentation you cannot apply static IPs if you are using more than 1 worker.
From Mule Documentation: 'Static IPs are not supported for private IP addresses inside a CloudHub VPC and it is only supported for application.
